Over the last 5 weeks Bristol Food Union have done an amazing job.
Already they have:
Raised £29,000 in donations to Feed the Frontline
Raised £16,745 in donations to the Bristol Food Fund
Delivered 4,000 meals to the frontline, including doctors and nurses working in Bristol's ICU, emergency services and surgical theatres, plus vulnerable communities across the city.
Paid £18,000 to Bristol's independent restaurants and suppliers to help produce these meals
Delivered 600 weekly provisions boxes to foster-care leavers across the city, plus hosted online cook-alongs to help them use their ingredients
Donated chefs and volunteers to the Caring in Bristol 'Cheers Drive' initiative, which has to-date produced 30,000 meals for Bristol's homeless citizens
However demand for meals is high and at current rates they will run out of funds to ask restaurants to produce these meals in as little as 2-weeks.
Therefore we have created a "Donate" product called "Feed a Front Liner" found in our Pantry section. All funds raised will go directly to Bristol Food Union to help continue their fantastic work.
